The Center for General Education was established for purposes of general education curriculum planning, review and evaluation. Our philosophy of general education emphases the idea of holistic development for individuals. Specifically, our faculty hopes to enable students to develop their own life, so that they can view the world from different perspectives and come to understand different aspects of their own life. We do this by requiring students to enroll in courses across various disciplines, thus, enabling students to participate actively in societal affairs as citizens. Our ultimate aim is to prepare students to respond to public affairs issues, thereby preparing them for a long and productive life after graduation. |
